Wednesday night about 7:30 I was just slowing down with my 4430 and gravity wagons to turn off the county blacktop road into the field driveway. All at once I noticed a vibration coming from the front of my tractor. Yes, the front tire was flat. I was fortunate that I was almost off the highway. I knew the tire and tube would have to be replaced anyway so I drove slowly into the field with the flat tire. At least I was off the highway.

I went back to the shop to pick up the hydraulic jack, blocks and wrenches to take the tire off. I could have taken a wheel off a gravity box and put it on the tractor but I was going to quit soon anyway. I just put the tire in the trunk and had a new tire and tube put on the next morning in Faribault. I just left the tractor out in the field standing on the hydraulic jack. I was at Wholesale Tire and I took this picture of "stuff" they have taken out of flat tires. Nails, screws, screw drivers, pieces of metal, you name it and they have pulled it out of a tire. In my case the tire was worn out and needed to be replaced. But, this "stuff" can ruin even a new tire!
