Faribault Police Deem Threat Non-Credible, School Still On
Last night at 5:34pm parents and guardians of Faribault High School students received a phone call and a message from the principal that indicated that there was a threat posted on social media earlier in the day. Faribault Police looked into the threat and deemed it non-credible, and school would be in session today ( Feb 28).
The post was a picture of student taken by another student with the hashtag 'school shoota' on it. The message went on to state that the school district takes the safety of students very seriously, and that school would go on as planned. The recorded message that parents and guardians received is below.
It wasn't clear if any charges will be filled against the individual/s who made the post.
