Faribault Pitcher Dominates Albert Lea

Faribault Falcons fastpitch softball pitcher Rylee Sietsema scattered 5 hits and collected three herself in a 7-2 win Tuesday against Albert Lea.

The Falcons clubbed 14 hits in the game at North Alexander Park in Faribault.  In addition to Sietsema's 2 hits, Amira Williams, freshman, had 3 hits also.  Amanda Cullen, sophomore, cracked a RBI double in the third inning to start the scoring followed by a RBI Sietsema single.

Jamie Adamek, junior, and Reagan Dregenberg, senior, both smacked two hits and the Falcons turned two double plays in the game.

Sietsema threw 115 pitches, 73 strikes, struck out 6 and walked 3 batters.  The senior also tallied 3 RBI.  Cullen had 2 RBI,

The Falcons stole three bases.

Faribault travels to Austin Thursday with a 5:00 p.m. first pitch scheduled at Todd Park.

The Bethlehem Academy Cardinals got back in the win column with a 5-2 victory at the Maple River Eagles.

Morgan Wilson threw 95 pitches, 64 strikes while fanning 8, walking 2 and allowing 4 hits.

The Cardinals hammered 7 hits led by Caitlin Bothun, sophomore and Jenna Lippert,. 8th grader, with 2 hits each.  Bothun had 3 RBI.

Bethlehem Academy is scheduled to go to Blooming Prairie Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. game.
