Former KDHL Sales Associate Ray Sanders was on the first Faribault Lions committee that came up with the idea to have a pancake meal in conjunction with the Super Bowl 52 years ago.  Of course the game was not as big as it is today.  Sanders and other Lions representatives will be with us on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program at 9:30 a.m.

If you can't tune in at that time we will be taping the show and uploading it to our YouTube channel www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio. I have been a Lion for a number of years now and joined simply because of all the good things the organization does.

We provide a dictionary for every third grader in town.  Just one example of the many local projects in addition to the national service projects we are involved in.

The Pancake and Sausage Feast is Sunday with serving from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  The menu includes of course Pancakes and Sausage and it's all you can eat.  The pancake batter is a special recipe that the late Bill Harkins had and passed down to his family.

He would never tell me what made it so good but I have a hunch beer is the secret ingredient.  Just a hunch.

New this year there will be FREE eye screening for children aged six months to six years.

Please bring any old eyeglasses and hearing aids to the event.  They are recycled and used to help those who can't afford them.

The all you can eat event costs $7.00 for adults, children 12 and under eat for $4.00 and all proceeds benefit various Faribault Lions projects.

You can purchase those tickets from any Lions club member or they will be available at the door for the same price.

The past several years I have been a pancake maker and it's always fun to make special little pancakes for the little ones.

I hope to see you Sunday at the Faribault Eagles Club, Highway 60 West.
