Faribault Foundation Executive Director Dee Bjork and Foundation Board Treasurer Todd Markman will be on our AM Minnesota program at 9:30 this morning.

The Faribault Foundation was founded in 1999 as a nonprofit 501(c)3 tax-exempt public charity that allows individuals, businesses and other organizations to establish permanent endowments and temporary funds within the structure of a single large foundation.

The funds are managed by a board of directors composed of Faribault-area residents.

The mission statement for the Faribault Foundation states: "The mission of the Faribault Foundation, Inc. is to develop, manage, and administer financial resources to promote and enhance the quality of life for the greater Faribault community."

There are about 450 community foundations in the United States.

The Faribault Foundation has been awarding Community Pride Grants to individuals or organizations who do great work in the community. Community Pride Grant recipients in 2016 were The Community Cafe, Supply Our Children, Connecting with Kids and Eid Celebration.

If you are interested in getting involved or have a project you would like to be considered for one of these grants, contact deebjork@msn.com.

If you can't tune in at 9:30AM, today's show will be available at www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio for your enjoyment by mid-afternoon.
