The Faribault Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness committee will be sponsoring the annual Farm Business luncheon on Thursday, November 17, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Faribault. That is just across the street from the Faribault Post Office. A turkey and dressing family-style meal will be served starting at 11:45AM. Tickets are just $15 and are available at the Faribault Chamber of Commerce office on Wilson Avenue in Faribault.

The purpose of this event is to join local business people with ag-related business in an educational and enjoyable event while hearing from a knowledgeable speaker that directly relates to agriculture. The speaker this year is Jim Nelson, grain marketing adviser for Cargill Ag Marketing Services. Nelson will talk not only about markets but also the economic impact of agriculture in Rice County, Minnesota and the United States.

With the nice weather forecast, harvest and field work should be all wrapped up by the luncheon on November 17. So, it would be great to see a nice crowd at the luncheon. We always get a nice group of farmers and business directly related to agriculture at the luncheon. It would be great to get those not directly involved in agriculture there too. So, why not bring a friend along?
