Faribault Boys Hockey Skates by Red Wing

The Red Wing Wingers traveled to Faribault Thursday night and went home with a 4-2 loss to the Falcons.

The Falcons finished the game with 46 shots on goal while the Wingers tallied 25.

Faribault took a 2-0 lead after first period goals by Nick Archambault and Caden Hart with assists to Ethan Amundson and Oliver Linneman.

Archambault's goal came 1:57 into the game.  Hart's was a powerplay goal at 8:26.

Tommy Kunze scored assisted by Logan Peroutka 12:03 of second period.  Oliver Linneman tallied an unassisted goal 12:22 into the final period.

Both Red Wing goals were scored by Ethan Anderson and both were power play goals.  10:37 of second period assisted by Marshall Turner and Nick Wooden and 10:58 of third period assisted by Carson Frank.

Dustin Boyd was in net for Faribault stopping 19 shots.  Ben Flaaen stopped 42 shots for Red Wing.

The Falcons are 3-4 in the Big Nine, 5-8 overall with Red Wing falling to 1-3 in the conference and 3-11 overall.

Tomorrow Faribault is scheduled to play at the Windom Eagles (3-11) at 3:00 p.m.
