AM Minnesota: Faribault Bike Trail Included in Minnesota House Bonding Package

A little over a month ago the Minnesota House Bonding Committee made a very brief stop in Faribault.

I met them along with City of Faribault officials and jumped on a bus for a short jaunt to see what some of the bonding money has done with the bike trails in Faribault.

Faribault Parks and Recreation Director Paul Penansky led the tour and pointed out what the city would like to use the requested money for.

Penansky joins us on KDHL for AM Minnesota at 9:30AM.

The tour must've worked because Penansky tells me Faribault was informed they made the cut and are in the House package.

The Senate Bonding Committee tours southeastern Minnesota this week and Penansky tells us he has not heard about any arrival in Faribault from that committee.

We will talk about that money and continue our discussion about various programs available through the Parks and Recreation Department to stay fit in winter.
