Faribault Falcons girls team struggled offensively Friday night, especially in the second half, as Mankato West won 50-43.

Elana Palmer had 19 to lead the Falcons and Grace Amacher had 11. They were our State Farm Insurance agents of Faribault players of the game. The Falcons only shot 30 percent from the floor. They led at halftime 21-17 but came out flat in the second half and that allowed West to pull ahead. West had a double-digit lead, but the Falcons were able to narrow it to five at one point.

The Falcons are right back in action at home against Albert Lea on Monday night and they have three other games next week, culminating in a girls/boys doubleheader at Northfield next Saturday afternoon.

Mankato West now 11-4 on the season.
