The Rice County Historical Society will host a program on the history of the Woolen Mill with Lisa Bolt Simons on Tuesday, April 11, at 7PM.

Lcal author Lisa M. Bolt Simons shares her experience writing “Faribault Woolen Mill - Loomed in the Land of Lakes,” a book about a small/family business, employee loyalty, and the art of craftsmanship. She'll include navigating the in-depth research process, as well as emphasizing the importance of nonfiction as a genre. Simons is also the author of more than 25 nonfiction children’s books and three middle-grade novels. She's been a teacher for more than 20 years and teaches English to non-native speaking adults at the Faribault Education Center

The event is free for members and $2 for nonmembers. Registration is not required, but appreciated.
