River Bend Nature Center invites you to drop off Christmas Trees and Wreaths to be recycled. They must be free of ornaments, metal, stands and not be flocked.
The nature center works with Goat Dispatch company. The goats eat invasive species and most anything, including Christmas Trees and wreaths.
River Bend will pick up a tree in the Faribault city limits for a charge: $5 for a tree and $2 for a wreath.
Christmas Trees and Wreaths may also be dropped off at the center, they ask for a free-will donation.
The Winterfest will be on Jan. 24 and will include the chance to see the goats at work. Non-members cost is $7 per person or $25 per family. Members are $5 or $20. Events will include: sleigh rides and blizzard golf.
