Additional Information

River Bend Nature Center will feature seasonal naturalist Dylan Kelly presenting “Star Stories: Not just for the Greeks” at their March Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors (OWLS) luncheon on March 16 at noon.

Nearly every ancient culture has looked up at the stars and seen fantastic stories sown together by the twinkling lights. So why is it that we only hear about Greek constellations like Orion, Cassiopeia, or Leo? Branch out and join other seniors for star stories that span continents and cultures.

OWLS is a monthly, indoor natural history program for seniors that includes a catered lunch followed by a speaker on a natural history topic. OWLS programs take place in River Bend’s Interpretive Center.

The OWLS program fee is $12 per person ($10 for River Bend members). Preregistration is required for this program by March 9. For more information or to register, please call River Bend Nature Center at (507) 332-7151 or visit their website at www.rbnc.org.
