River Bend Nature Center will present a science program for homeschoolers all about mushrooms and the world of fungi on Monday, April 25 from 2-3:30PM. The fungi kingdom is vast and varied, and includes the largest living organism on earth. In this class, participants will learn about the parts of mushrooms, will create some mushroom art, will hunt for fungi in the wild and discover why people find some fungi delicious (no fungi will be consumed).

This class is open to homeschool students and other interested children in grades K-6. Class will be divided by age: ages 7 and under and ages 8 and up if the group is over 10 participants.  The fee is $8.00 per child. Pre-registration is required by Friday, April 22.
