River Bend Nature Center will present a program all about snow from 2-3:30PM Monday, January 25, for homeschooled children in kindergarten through sixth grades.

For families living in Minnesota, snow is an enjoyable part of life in winter. But have you ever wondered how snow is made? Or how even the tiniest animals can survive in a chilly landscape covered by snow? Join a team of other young scientists at River Bend to discover why snow is even more amazing and fun than you thought! Trek across the white landscape in snowshoes, discover animal adaptations to snow, and carry out exciting experiments on this mysterious, white, fluffy stuff. This January, the River Bend grounds have become a winter wonderland, so join in on an epic adventure into the science of snow!

This class is open to homeschool students and other interested children. The fee for this program is $8 per child. Preregistration is required by Friday, January 22, by phone at (507) 332-7151, online at www.rbnc.org/homeschool/, or by dropping into the Nature Center.
