Additional Information

River Bend Nature Center will be hosting a Minnesota Master Naturalist course on “Big Woods and Big Rivers” beginning on November 2 at 4PM.

Participants in the course study natural history, environmental interpretation and conservation stewardship. Final certification as a Minnesota Master Naturalist comes with the completion of 40 hours of volunteer service.

Through the course, participants will develop their ability to observe nature and will learn tools to improve these skills. In addition, participants will improve their communication skills by sharing knowledge with other participants and by working on a group project.

The course will be Mondays and Thursdays from 4-6:30PM, November 2 through December 10, 2015, plus two all-day field trips on Saturday, November 14, and Saturday, November 21.
