The Rice And Steele County Crops Day will be on Wednesday, Feb. 24 from 8:30AM with registration, rolls and coffee with the event ending at 2:30PM.

University of Minnesota Extension Crops Day will take place at the Rice County 4-H Building, 1900 Fairgrounds Drive #17, in Faribault.

  • At 9AM: Travis Hirman will give a Buffer Strip Update
  • At 9:15: Ryan Miller talks of new seed treatments and plant diseases with a break to follow.
  • At 10:30: Jeff Vetsch discusses P and K fertilization, corn and soybean yields with lunch to follow from CashWise Foods in Owatonna and provided by KDHL.
  • At 12:30PM:  Lisa Behnken talks Weed Management.
  • At 1:30PM:  Gordon Kralovetz with a 2016 Market Outlook and done at 2:30.
