Today, Lisa Karl and Curt Becher from Community Co-op Oil Association in Faribault stopped by KDHL studios for AM Minnesota. Community Co-op and the Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers teamed up for a promotion coming up Thursday. The best way to describe it is cheap gas and cheap food. From 11AM until 2PM you can get ethanol with a discount of 85 cents a gallon! In addition, the Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers and Rice County Pork Producers will have their food stand there selling pork burgers for $1.

The Community Co-op Oil Association has been a great promoter of home-grown ethanol. About a year and a half ago they were one of the first in Minnesota to put in blender pumps. That means you can get any amount of ethanol you prefer. Normal regular gas has 10 percent ethanol, or you can get up to 85 percent ethanol. Remember this Thursday at the Community Co-op Oil Association C-store by the viaduct in Faribault, cheap gas and cheap food!
