Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers Plot Tour

The Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers will be holding their annual plot tour this evening starting at 5:30PM. The plots are at Mike and Kay Peterson's farm just east of Northfield on Highway 19. The plots are also sponsored by the South Central College Farm Business Management program. A meal will be served after the plot tour. You do not have to preregister, the plot tour and meal is free for all corn and soybean growers in Dakota and Rice County.

Many of the company representatives will be there to explain a little bit about the corn hybrids and soybean varieties in the test plots. In addition, Central Farm Service lead agronomist Brian Weller will talk about the growing season and crop potential. Finally Mark Hewitt from McPherson Crop Management in Janesville will talk about technology and crop scouting with drones.
