I never thought I would say this but computers are pretty nice. Looking outside at all the snow it seems like a long time ago I was in Chad's tractor ripping corn stalks. It was less that three weeks ago I finished ripping corn stalks. I knew snow and cold weather was moving in so I was pushing pretty hard. Before computers you were holding and turning a steering wheel for many hours at a time. This is a picture of the computer in Chad's cab that was driving the tractor. It communicates with 7 different satellites to get a "fix" on where it is on the earth. When you get around 200 feet from the end of the field it beeps at you to warn you. When you turn the steering wheel it beeps again to let you know you are off guidance. As you turn on the end of the field you just let go of the steering wheel and hit the resume button. The computer lines you up on the closest pass across the field that you have not ripped yet. Aren't computers great!
