Community Cathedral Cafe Fundraiser in Faribault on AM Minnesota

Faribault Community Cathedral Cafe Board members will be in the KDHL Studio today to enlighten us about hunger in this community.

A fundraiser is being planned for later this month to raise money for the weekly free meals provided at the Cathedral of Our Merciful Saviour. Meals are served each Tuesday from 5-6:30PM. All are welcome. Another evening meal has been added in the past year and we will get details.

The Community Cathedral Cafe is now in its seventh year.

More than 100 volunteersw work each month at the Community Cathedral Cafe in an effort to provide nutritious meals for those in need.

I did some checking and, according to 2015 statistics, Jefferson Elementary in Faribault has 74.1 percent of its students on free and reduced lunches, lincoln elementary has 69.5 percent, Roosevelt Elementary has 66.9 percent, Faribault MIddle School has 55.4 percent and Faribault High School has 45.5 percent.
