When I was out spraying beans last Saturday I noticed this little strip of beans that was brown and dying. I instantly knew what happened. I was spraying the sweetcorn with Laudis and Atrazine, of course according to label directions. When I got to the end of the sweetcorn I turned around in the bean field. I was thinking that if I turned around in the corn field all the plants I ran over would die. If I turned around in the bean field the beans were small enough they would grow back. I have electric controls to turn the sprayer boom on and off. Apparently when I shut the boom off one nozzle continued to apply a small amount of herbicide and killed the beans. Thankfully it was just a very small area.
