The Righteous Brothers sang a song about a Rock and Roll Heaven "where you know they've got a hell of a band."  Some of the great dj's there, Wolfman Jack, Dick Clark and Dan Donovan. His family new him as Blaine Harvey. But his radio family know him as Dan Donovan, the geezer, host of the Donovan disaster first on KS-95 then on KOOL 108 on the Twin Cities. It was then I listened to him back in the 70's and started my desire to work in radio. He had a way no matter how you were feeling to make you laugh, and make you want to stay listening to the station. He, off the air was a bit of a curmudgeon and was shy and technology challenged. But when the time came to hit the microphone switch to on, everything that came out was informative, even if he was stretching the truth a bit about the origins of a song, sometimes funny and he kept you entertained.  He was elected to the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting, Hall of Fame. I will always remember the geezer. Thanks for the memories.
