AM Minnesota Tuesday: Rice County Fair

John Dvorak, Rice County Fair manager, will be stopping by KDHL studios Tuesday morning for our monthly Rice County Fair Talk. The 2017 Rice County Fair is just a little over two months away. A lot of the grandstand events, food vendors, exhibitors and free entertainment have been set. However, John and other fair board members are always looking for new entertainment or events that can still be brought to the fair. Sometimes it is even some type of food that may not be represented at the Rice County Fair.

Last month John mentioned that he was going to have Kathy Cap come to this month's Fair Talk. Kathy is one of the organizers of the Rice County Fair Queen contest. The coronation kicks off the Rice County Fair on Tuesday evening's the first day of the fair. It is always fun to see many so contestants for the title of the Rice County Fair Queen. When there are a lot of contestants, that means there are also a lot of family members and friends there too. What a great way to kick off the Rice County Fair!
