The Minnesota Corn Growers Association and the Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council have set a goal of helping Minnesota corn growers become the most sustainable and environmentally responsible farmers in the United States. That is a very ambitious goal, but the boards of the Minnesota Corn Growers Association and the Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council feel it can be achieved if action steps are available. One of those action steps is expanding the Innovative Grant Program.

The Innovative Grant Program offers grants that can help farmers adopt and implement new conservation practices so "they can better manage nitrogen fertilizer, protect water quality or compare farming measuring tools." A total of $225,000 is available. The deadline for applying for the Ag Innovative Grant Program is 3PM on December 15. If you would like more information, contact the Minnesota Corn Growers or go to mncorn.org.
