On Tuesday afternoon, I went to the Sibley School in Northfield with Kevin Estrem. Estrem said this is the 13th year he has been going into classrooms to talk with students about where their food comes from. Estrem is a farmer from Nerstrand who raises corn and soybeans, along with finishing pigs. He talks to more than 1,000 students each year and has gotten so busy I am going to cover some of the schools for him. It is great that the schools are excited about having farmers come to talk with their students about agriculture.
