The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars wrestling team entered the Castle Thursday night in Kenyon and had a happy bus ride home following a thrilling 36-31 victory. In other wrestling action Byron edged Triton 42-40.  Goodhue defeated Cannon Falls 45-30.  Kasson-Mantorville rolled over Pine Island 74-6.  Wabasha-Kellogg edged St. Charles 49-46 and fell to Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson 45-30.

In boys basketball Thursday the Northfield Raiders hosted Albert Lea and won 75-60 led by Blake Christensen's 23 points.  Mason Zick added 16 and Kip Schetran had 11 points.  The Tigers also had three players in double figures.  Andrew Willner 12 points, Dylan Scherff 11 and Logan Howe 10 points.

Girls basketball Thursday had some thrilling games with Cannon Falls nearly coming from 11 down at the half against Rushford-Peterson.  The Trojans hung on for a 58-55 win.  Waterville-Elysian-Morristown defeated LeSueur-Henderson 55-40.  The Buccaneers were led by Shelby Hermel with 13 points and MaeLea Harmon added 10 points.
