Winter Fun in Faribault

It seems like winter is the season of activities with something fun and new going on every day. Here's a couple of fun events going on in the Faribault area today and tomorrow, December 9 and 10.

This afternoon, the Cathedral of Our Merciful Savior in Faribault is hosting their Cathedral Christmas Luncheon and Bazaar from 9AM to 5PM. Vendors display their wares, including Norwegian bakings, sewn and quilted baby items, jewelry, Glass Garden Beads, Tupperware, Norwex, stained glass, painted items, Mary Kay, Avon, maple syrup and honey, mittens and Clever Containers. There will also be other craft items, baked goods and used a bit items for sale. They'll also be serving up a lunch of turkey casserole, cranberry salad and dessert for only $9 and be offering tours of the decorated cathedral every hour on the hour between 1-3PM.

Tomorrow afternoon it's the 14th annual Shattuck-St. Mary's Campus Christmas Walk. This free event kicks off with the Christmas Spectacular on Ice at noon in the Shattuck-St. Mary's Sports Complex. After the show you're free to wander the campus while you enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate and the music of their musicians and carolers. You'll also have the opportunity to decorate cookies and ornaments and visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 1:30-4PM at The Inn at Shattuck-St. Mary's.
