Light snow is in the forecast for areas of southern Minnesota tonight with accumulations mostly under 1" where it falls. Widespread snow with a few inches looking more and more likely for Thursday.

Hazardous travel conditions may develop Thursday as a result of the accumulating snow. Locations along and north of I-94 are favored for the heaviest snowfall accumulations.

Colder air returns for the weekend, with highs in the teens for Friday and Saturday.

Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
