With the holiday season in the rearview mirror, you may have gotten a Faribault Chamber Check as a gift or stocking stuffer, but since you received the chamber check do you know how it works? Or who takes them? Here are some helpful tips for using your Chamber Checks here in Faribault.
Here's one that I never knew before, if you get some Faribault Chamber Checks as a gift from someone, if you redeem the chamber check at an area retailer, you actually get change back if you don't use the entire amount!
In a social media post to the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism page last week was some helpful information in regards to using Chamber Checks here in Faribault.
How do Chamber Checks work?
The Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism offers Chamber Checks. They are the same as cash and can be spent at any Chamber member business. The business deposits them into their account the same as a regular check. The customer does receive change if they do not spend the whole amount. Please train your staff on how to accept these, as they help keep dollars in our local community.
So if you are planning on giving out chamber checks to staff or friends and family make sure they know how they work, just like cash, and it might be helpful to know this in case a local business isn't sure how they check work either, as there are a lot of new employees at area businesses. Most Visited State Parks In Minnesota: Is Your Favorite in the List?
Minnesota has 75 beautiful state parks. The parks have an average of 9,700,000 visitors each year. Interestingly enough, nearly 19% of park visitors come from other states and countries, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Now, my favorite State Park is Jay Cooke in Carlton, MN, but it did not break into the top 5.
