As preparations continue on the Owatonna High School football field this week for the Huskies state tournament quarterfinal game Saturday, November 9 versus St. Thomas Academy, fans also need to know a few things before the noon kickoff at Woodbury High School. From advance ticket sales info, to what you can't bring into the stadium, to how cold it will be, examine these notes so you are ready to cheer on the Huskies.

Advance ticket sales will take place Wednesday through Friday at the high school and Knights of Columbus Hall. Tickets are $11 for adults and $7 for students. Preschool children can attend for free. Ticket sales will also be available at Woodbury High School on Saturday beginning at 10:45 am. For advance tickets:

Wednesday, November 6

  • OHS main entrance (near the auditorium) 11 am to 1 pm and 2:40 to 3:15 pm
  • Knights of Columbus Hall, 3:30 to 5:15 pm

Thursday, November 7

  • OHS main entrance, 7:30 to 8:15 am, 11 am to 1 pm, and 2:40 to 3:15 pm
  • Knights of Columbus Hall, 3:30 to 5:15 pm

Friday, November 8

  • OHS main entrance, 7:30 to 8:15 am, 11 am to 1 pm, and 2:40 to 3:15 pm

Plans are for at least one fan bus to travel to the game. For just $20 some one else will do the driving. You must still purchase a game ticket. Fan bus(es) will leave at 10 am from the Eagles Club. Find out more information and sign up here.

On game day take note of these rules at the stadium:

  • Backpacks are not allowed.
  • No outside food or beverage is permitted.
  • Students in grade 8 and younger must be with an adult or guardian.
  • Owatonna fans will sit on the east side of stadium (opposite the press box).
  • Fans are advised to park in the Ojibway parking lot.
  • The facility is smoke free.
  • Students participating in unsafe behavior will be removed from the stadium.

Watch here for the weather forecast. It seems there might be a slight improvement to highs near 40 by Saturday. No matter what, conditions will be better than the Huskies quarterfinal game in very cold weather last year at TCO Training Facility in Eagan. The winner of Saturday's game gets the comfort of playing at US Bank Stadium in the November 16 state semifinals.

If you can't make the game or know fans that live out of town, the game will be broadcast on AM 1390 KRFO, krforadio.com, and on the free KRFO app.
