What? Chocolate Sauce & Golf Club Used By MN Woman To Trash Target

A West Saint Paul woman charged with contributing to nearly $7,000 in damage to a Minnesota Target store used 'Chocolate sauce, a golf club, and weights' amongst other items to trash the store, resulting in it closing for the day for repairs and clean up, according to the online charging document from Dakota County.

The online document went on to also list the charges that were brought against, 23-year-old Gaylene Bailey of West Saint Paul a felony charge of Damage to Property in the 1st Degree with a Value Reduced of over $1000, and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct.

The document went on to list that police were called to the Target on Robert Street in West Saint Paul at 9:43am on March 15th, where when they arrived found Bailey inside the store "knocking boxed televisions to the ground." Police at that point ordered Bailey to "stop and get onto the ground", but she refused to follow the orders given and continued to "throw items off the shelf." Police then approached Bailey and were able to take her into custody and while being escorted out of the store she "continued to kick at merchandise on the floor and on display stands."

Target employees then supplied police with video of the incident which showed Bailey "pouring out chocolate sauce, laundry detergent, and windshield washer fluid onto the floor of the store", as well as "using a golf club and hand weights to break glass display cases." A laptop was also ripped from its tether and thrown to the ground.

The value of the damage caused by Bailey was estimated to have been $6,988.95, with that amount possibly growing as employees had yet to begin inspecting the area for any more damage caused.
