Waseca Sleigh and Cutter Bonspiel

The Waseca Sleigh and Cutter Festival is in full swing, and it goes throughout the month of February. There is something for everyone, including a parade and fireworks. We sure know how to make Winter fun here in Southern Minnesota.

There will be a Curling Bonspiel right on Clear Lake by the Boat House Bar and Grill, and area teams are taking part in the competition. The weather forecast for next weekend doesn't look like it will be bitterly cold, which is much better for spending your day on the ice.

I posted a few weeks ago that my daughter has joined the Junior Curling League at the Owatonna Curling Club, and she is planning to take part in this outdoor Bonspiel. All of her teammates are looking forward to playing at least two games, and possibly winning. Ok, I am biased, but, they are playing better than I am.

I am excited to head over to Waseca after my time on KRFO 1390AM that morning to cheer everyone on. It should be a great day, and a great way to celebrate Winter.
