Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen shows his Minnesota roots by doing something that is a pastime in the state, ripping on the Packers.

Thielen was a guest on Golf.com's Subpar podcast when the subject turned to the Packers and specifically Lambeau Field, the two time Pro Bowl wide receiver didn't hold back giving his true opinion of the historic field.

“There’s nothing better than leaving Lambeau with a victory,” said Thielen, and when asked about Lambeau versus U.S Bank Stadium, he said, "The whole stadium’s not nice. There’s nothing fancy about it. It’s bleacher seats."

I'll admit that Lambeau Field isn't as nice and full of fan amenities and comfort as U.S. Bank Stadium, but there is a charm and old school feel when watching a game at the historic football stadium.

Opened in 1957 Lambeau Field has been expanded and renovated several times over the years, most recently in 2015 when the team renovated the Lambeau Atrium entrance, added a new gate and new player facilities.

Since joining the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2016, Thielen has had performed well against the Packers scoring 6 touchdowns, and gaining well over 700 yards. I'm sure Green Bay Packer fans can't wait to say some choice words to the wide receiver when the Vikings play the Packers at Lambeau during the 2021 season, and I'm sure he'll enjoy it and respond with another outstanding performance.
