Safety Andrew Sendejo played eight years for the Minnesota Vikings before signing with the Philadelphia Eagles.  Today, he returned to Minnesota.

The 32-year-old Sendejo had made just one start this season with the Eagles before being released from the team.  He was primarily being used in sub packages, recording just one interception.  Coincidentally, his lone interception with Philadelphia came against the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium.

After the Eagles released him, the Vikings brought him back on a waiver claim.  The move makes sense since Sendejo is familiar with Miker Zimmer's defense, so it won't take long for him to jump right in and provide depth and some toughness to a defense that hasn't played up to their reputation in key moments.

One thing Sendejo will have to do is cut down on aggressive hits that lead to penalties and fines.  He plays an old-school style in a league trying to distance itself from that type of play.

To make room for Sendejo on the roster, the Vikings released rookie safety Marcus Epps who may end up back with Minnesota in their practice squad.
