A video shared by Minnesota State Senator Karin Housley reveals where Minnesotans spent their Memorial Day Weekend -- and it wasn't at home.

On Memorial Day, State Senator for Forest Lake, Stillwater & the St. Croix Valley Karin Housely shared a video to Twitter revealing just how many Minnesotans threw off the shackles of social distance guidelines and escaped Minnesota to a less-restricted Wisconsin over the weekend.

"From my friend Dave Jarvis, owner of CURRENT Restaurant & Swirl Wine Bar in Afton," Housely captioned the video. "A lot of Minnesota plates across the river in Hudson last night."

The video -- shot by owner of Current Restaurant in Afton, MN -- was filmed as Jarvis rides through downtown Hudson, Wisconsin. "Minnesota plate, Minnesota plate, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Minnesota, Minnesota, Minnesota," he announces as they pass by vehicle after vehicle. They're all Minnesota plates. Unbelievable."

Crowds of people can be seen talking and laughing together in groups on the sidewalk or as they wait in line for restaurants.

"That is unbelievable," Jarvis says of the line waiting to get into the Smiling Moose Lodge Bar & Grill. "Wraps all the way around [the block]." He turns and goes down Main Street Hudson, again counting off the mostly Minnesota license plates. "Here's my buddy Paul at Agave Kitchen...yup, he's got a line going out the door as well."

While it's hard to decipher the tone of Jarvis' video (is he shocked, amazed, impressed, upset?) or Housley's purpose for sharing, the tweet has garnered a slough of different responses.

Minnesota is currently under "Stay Safe" orders, which allows retail businesses to operate at 50% capacity within guidelines and social gatherings of 10 people or less. Close contact businesses including restaurants, bars, breweries and salons will be allowed to re-open June 1 within guidelines including service by reservation and outdoor only (hair and nail salons not included).
