
Victim of Deadly Duck Hunting Accident Was Flown to Rochester

Le Center, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a fatal hunting-related accident on a lake near Le Center.
Sheriff Brent Mason says the victim was found floating in Clear Lake several yards from a capsized duck boat. After he was pulled from the lake, 59-year-old Jeffrey Brooks of Belle Plaine was transported to St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Sheriff says another man, 29-year-old Nicholas Brooks of Belle Plaine, was found sitting on top of the overturned duck boat. He was transported by a private party to the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in New Prague to be checked out.
