A Twin Cities television station is taking the show on the road for the 5th straight year, and the tour will feature several area baseball teams and small Minnesota towns. The Town Ball Tour, put on by KMSP-TV out of the Twin Cities will be stopping in Union Hill, Veseli, and Waterville.

The tour will make 10 stops in 10 towns across Minnesota, with a majority of those stops happening in either the metro area or Southern Minnesota. The furthest south the tour will go is Waterville to see the Indians play on July 20th. The tour will lead off with Cologne playing on May 18th, followed up by a game in Veseli where the Warriors will host the Belle Plaine Tigers on May 25th.

A perennial power in class C Plato gets the nod for June 1, Watertown not to be confused with Waterville, is June 8th. The tour then heads north with a stop in Isanti, before turning around and seeing the Union Hill Bulldogs play on June 22nd, in a game that isn't on their schedule yet, but the Mayer Blazers are slated for June 21st. The Rodeo in Hamel is an attraction for July 6th, followed by Green Isle on July 13th, before wrapping up in Waterville as they host the New Prague Orioles.

It's hard to believe that it's almost time once again for town ball to kick off, but it is, and the best part is a portion of this year's state tournament will be held right here in Faribault!
