These Make the Cut as Some of Minnesota’s Favorite Burgers
Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes, a couple of joints that claim to be the original Juicy Lucy makers, and all kinds of amazing other burgers to sink your teeth into.
My dad is a south Minneapolis kid, and would occasionally make us Juicy Lucys for supper. We loved 'em and just thought dad made up a silly burger invention with a funny name to make us kids laugh.
Little did we know that the Juicy Lucy was not dad's invention, but rather a concoction born in south Minneapolis by either the 5-8 Club or Matt's Bar -- depends on who you ask.
Sometimes you'll see the Juicy Lucy spelled as Jucy Lucy. That's because it was misspelled on the menu at Matt's Bar in 1954, and the spelling stuck -- sometimes.
Minnesota burgers go far beyond Juicy Lucy fame. From small burger stands to upscale American fare restaurants, burgers in Minnesota have made quite a name for themselves. Here are some of Minnesota's favorites.
Fitger's Brewhouse, Duluth
Since 1995, Fitger's Brewhouse Brewery & Grille has been a Duluth favorite, a regional destination, and a statewide source of pride. Minnesota's oldest brewpub, is Minnesota's BEST Brewpub, by public acclamation.

DON'T MISS: 10 Best Mouth-Watering Juicy Lucys in Minnesota
The Blue Door Pub, Minneapolis
We opened our door in 2008 (it was blue, if anyone is asking.) And there the Blucy was born. There were other Juicy Lucys before, but none celebrated this Minnesota delicacy quite like the Blucy.

We take pride in using the freshest ingredients in all of our food, creating irresistible and memorable burgers. Voted “Best Burgers in MN” by TripAdvisor.
Val's Rapid Serv, St. Cloud
Half a century ago; Val's Rapid Serv restaurant was born in St. Cloud. The dining experience has been the same when your grandparents brought your parents; when your parents brought you.
Parlour, Minneapolis & St. Paul
Known for our craft cocktail menu and the famous Parlour Burger. Two locations, Minneapolis' North Loop and St. Paul's West 7th near the Xcel Energy Center.
Lion's Tap, Eden Prairie
Lions Tap has been rated as having one of the best hamburgers in the Twin Cities area by almost all surveys around. Napkins are plentiful, and necessary.
