Zumbrota Police issued a request for public assistance after responding to the vehicle-home collision around 2:30 Thursday morning.

A news release issued by the Zumbrota Police Department says the vehicle-house collision happened shortly after 2:30 a.m.

Authorities had been looking for him since he allegedly led law officers on a chase in the stolen vehicle on Highway 52 and then fled on foot a week ago.

Officers responded to the vehicle theft call around 2:45 Friday morning.

The State Patrol says alcohol was involved.

The rollover wreck was reported around 3 PM.

Zumbrota police were on the chase trying to catch a sheep on the loose. Luckily, some local cowboys came in and used their expertise to catch the sheep.

Some areas of southeastern Minnesota have seen over a half-foot of rain.

Photos from the scene indicate firefighters brought burning articles of clothing out onto the street to extinguish them.

The preliminary investigation indicates an employee set off the alarm by misdialing a number on the plant’s internal phone system.
