Suspicious Vehicle Was Just a Minnesota Mom Wanting to Get Away from Her Kids
For most of us, we have been spending a lot more time with the people we live with, whether that's family or roommates. But we all need our alone time and with the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become harder to get that time alone.
Since it's harder to get time alone, some people may start doing things they have never done before. Like sit in a parking lot of a closed business in the middle of the night. That's exactly what a 36-year-old woman in Corcoran, Minnesota did a little over a month ago.
Corcoran is just northwest of Minneapolis. Police were called about a "suspicious vehicle" that was parked in a parking lot of a closed business just before midnight. This was at the 23300 block of County Road 10 in Corcoran.
Police arrived at the vehicle but didn't discover anything suspicious at all about the vehicle. They found the 36-year-old mom hanging out in her car. She told the officers that "she needed some peace and quiet time away from her kids."
The police blotter was posted in a newspaper and has since been shared on social media. Replies on the Tweet that shared the police blotter feel for the mom. One says "I was suspicious yesterday." Implying that he also parked in a parking lot somewhere to get away from his kids. Another reply said, "I bet she asked them to arrest her so she'd have a full day alone."
