After Sunday, the Vans Warped Tour will no longer be coming back to Minnesota. After 23 years, it will be gone FOREVER. And it looks like our governor might be a closet punk/ska fan, because he just made the following proclamation:

WHEREAS: Warped Tour is the largest traveling music festival in the United States, and the longest-running touring music festival in North America, and

WHEREAS: Warped Tour has entertained over 35,000 music fans during its annual appearance in Minnesota, and

WHEREAS: Warped Tour will have appeared 22 years in a row in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area, and

WHEREAS: Warped Tour actively provides a platform for up-and-coming artists to connect with new audiences, and

WHEREAS: Warped Tour has consistently delivered a unique and memorable experience for all punk rock, ska, and hip-hop Minnesota music fans, and

WHEREAS: Warped Tour is entering its final national and international tour in 2018.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, MARK DAYTON, Governor of Minnesota, do hereby proclaim Sunday, July 22nd, 2018 as:

WARPED TOUR DAY.

Never forget! I miss it already!
