Last Friday the Rice County Sheriff's Office sent out a request for the public's assistance in locating an alleged suspect.  Yesterday Sheriff Troy Dunn sent information noting the suspect, Nicholas John Boie Thompson, 31, had been taken into custody.

Thompson was arrested on a Felony probation violation.  The arrest was made without incident in Waseca County at approximately 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019.

Thompson was wanted for questioning about two separate investigations in Rice and Goodhue Counties.

Dunn says, "We would like to thank everyone involved for helping us bring this subject into custody.  He is currently being held on the outstanding warrant from the Minnesota Department of Corrections.  Additional charges are pending from Rice and Goodhue Counties.

KDHL spoke with Dunn about the location of Thompson.  He indicated investigators were able to track him down, but they did get a couple of calls from citizens.  The Sheriff was unsure if those calls directly assisted his investigators in determining the location of Thompson.
