Monday night at the Mayo Civic Auditorium the girls basketball subsection 1A west semifinals were held.

In the opener, Goodhue (25-4) handled Grand Meadow (17-11) 64-32. The Wildcats lead 29-12 at the half.

Sydney Lodermeier led Goodhue's scoring with 15; Maddy Miller had 14; Megan Ryan hit three 3-pointers for 9; Lexie Lodermeier had 8; Taylor Larson 7; Mckenzie Ryan, Michelle Hadler, Haley Lexvold, Kaitlin Buck and Keisha O'Reilly each had 2 points; and Emily Benrud had 1.

Skylar Cotton has 10 to lead Grand Meadow.

Goodhue goes on to face Lyle/Pacelli at 11AM Saturday at the Mayo Civic Auditorium.

Lyle/Pacelli defeated Blooming Prairie 52-27. The Athletics defeated Goodhue last year, to go on to defeat Fillmore Central and advance to the state tournament.
