Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Stewartville man has been ordered to spend about a month and a half in jail for a child pornography conviction. Olmsted County District Judge Carol Hanks also placed 57-year-old Eric Saterdalen on probation for five years and directed him to enroll in a sex offender treatment program.

Saterdalen earlier pleaded guilty to four felony counts of possession of child pornography that resulted in the dismissal of 8 other felony charges stemming from an investigation prompted by a tip from Yahoo. The internet portal alerted authorities that one of its users had uploaded suspected child porn. That led to the execution of a search warrant at Saterdalen’s home, where investigators seized a computer containing sexually explicit images of young children.
