North Branch, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is reporting that an infant who was critically injured in a crash last week in east-central Minnesota has died.

The State Patrol has issued an update to a crash report that was issued last Thursday indicating Hudson Allen of North Branch has died from the severe injuries he suffered in the crash. The report does not list the baby's exact age but indicates he was less than one year old.

Hudson was a passenger in a small SUV that was rear-ended on Highway 95 near North Branch last Thursday afternoon when the driver slowed down to make a turn. The collision sent the SUV into the path of an oncoming car. The infant’s mother and two-year-old sister suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as did the three occupants of the car, including a four-year-old girl from West Virginia.

There were six teenagers in the minivan that rear-ended the SUV. The 19-year-old woman driving the vehicle was taken to a St. Paul hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the five other teens in the minivan were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
