Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing on Minnesota Exit Ramp
STACY, Minn. (AP) -- Officials say no one was hurt when a small plane made an emergency landing on an exit ramp to Interstate 35 in Stacy, northeast of the Minneapolis area.
The incident happened about 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says the fixed-wing single-engine experimental plane was forced to land when it overheated.
The pilot brought the plane down on the exit ramp and taxied to the parking lot of a nearby convenience store.
The sheriff's office says the plane appeared to be undamaged and joked in a tweet that a citation "was issued for quadruple parking."
