Shakopee Woman Dead After Crash With Semi
Benton Township, MN (KROC AM News) - A young Twin Cities woman is dead after a crash with a semi-truck in Carver County Tuesday evening.
The Minnesota State Patrol says Amanda Green, 20, of Shakopee, was heading north on County Road 51 around 7:45 p.m. when she stopped at a sign, and then proceed to cross Highway 212 and was struck by a Mack Semi Truck traveling west on Highway 212.
Green died in the collision and the driver of the semi, 52-year-old Michael Mickolichek of Silver Lake, Minnesota, sustained minor injuries. It was noted by the state patrol that Green was not wearing her seat belt.
