A listener called in this morning from a few miles Southwest of Faribault. He said with last nights rain his farm has received 9.1 inches of rain in June and we have more in the forecast. At the Southern Research and Outreach Center at Waseca they have measured 11.04 inches in June, a new all time record for June! To top it off Waseca is closing in on a record for the wettest month ever. That record was set in September of 2010 at 12.66 inches. With heavy rains in a short time all that water makes it's way to the rivers. In the picture is the Faribo Woolen Mill dam that is no longer visible and people sandbagging in case the river continues to rise. Notice in the other picture the river is almost up to the new bridge.
