Rochester’s Face Covering Order Now In Effect
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Don’t forget the face mask. Rochester’s new mandatory face-covering order is now in effect.
It was adopted Monday and requires faces to be covered in any indoor public space in hopes of stopping the spread of COVID-19.
Employees and customers at almost all Rochester indoor businesses and other places of public accommodation are affected by the order. Customers who don’t wear a covering and refuse to leave a business could be cited for trespassing. Businesses that fail to enforce the order could face administrative actions related to their city-issued licenses.
Edina, Minneapolis, and St Paul adopted similar policies earlier.
Mandatory face-coverings will also take effect Friday in Mankato and Winona. Duluth will act on a proposed face-covering order Monday.
