Bragging rights to make any car enthusiast green with envy and one ridiculously huge, custom made, one-of-a-kind trophy specially crafted for the second annual Faribault Main Street Car Cruise Night Car Club Showdown are all on the line August 18 from 6-9PM in downtown Faribault, but car enthusiasts were treated to the unveiling of the trophy on Friday night!

On Friday night, Faribault Main Street unveiled the 2017 'ridiculously huge' trophy, and it did not disappoint! Bill Kubinski created this year's trophy, combining a grill, wagon, welding skills, and a lot of creativity. Kubinski is a a skilled welder and mechanic, employed at car cruise sponsor Community Coop Oil Association, and enjoys creating unique projects in his free time. This year's trophy is a fully functional grill, complete with grill accessories, a full propane tank, the red wagon has a diamond plated interior, and it is without a doubt, a one of a kind trophy.

If you have a great vehicle that you are proud of, you’re invited to bring it down too! Whether you have a muscle car, custom restoration, old truck, motorcycle, Model A’s, or something else, everyone is welcome to bring their vehicle to the Faribault Car Cruise Night.

Car clubs that are interested in taking home the trophy and bragging rights for a year, must register by calling the Faribault Chamber of Commerce, pick out the 10 best cars to show, and provide a judge.

It’s always a fun evening, and the cars that people bring are rare, interesting showpieces. Some vehicles make repeat appearances throughout the summer, but there are also new cars and trucks to check out.Check out pictures of some of the cars that were in attendance here.
